The Council Member Legislative Prep course is designed to empower council members with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively navigate and influence the legislative process. This course offers comprehensive training on key topics such as:
  • understanding legislative structures
  • advocating for disability-related policies
  • building relationships with legislators
  • crafting compelling testimonies
By viewing a series of videos, participants will learn how to analyze bills, communicate effectively with policymakers, and engage in legislative advocacy efforts that advance the rights and interests of people with disabilities.
